It is a useful measure of how much risk an investor is willing to take in exchange for higher potential returns. An investor with low risk tolerance may seek safer investments, and may panic and sell at the wrong time during periods of high market volatility. An investor with high risk tolerance may weather market volatility more effectively, but can sometimes take on more financial risk than is appropriate for their financial situation.

The Risk Tolerance Quiz score provides an objective assessment of your contact’s risk tolerance. The score can be used as one of many other variables to develop a portfolio that meets your client’s needs.
